Arabic Language Department at King Abdul-Aziz University in Jeddah-- Literary Departments  (Girls' Colleges  branch)-- is a pioneering and multidisciplinary department that offers many subspecialties such as Syntax and Morphology, Ancient Literature, Modern Literature, Comparative Literature, Rhetoric, Criticism and Philology.

     Within the framework of such a well-developed department, the academic and research interests have been evolved to spread the Arabic language and advance  it to the international level of higher studies through coping with the demands of international scientific progress and supporting the linguistic and professional skills of staff members  to help community services.

     The department perceives that it has a great role to play in strengthening its relations with other departments as well as with other local and international universities and colleges to overcome the challenges of modern age through community services and  scientific  and research excellence.
